This guitar’s ultra-lightweight roasted pine body is paired up with a trio of hand-wound Dual-Mag II pickups that harbor different magnets on the treble and bass side of the pickup for the utmost sonic balance. And while the roasted quartersawn maple neck sports a vintage-inspired ’59-style “D” profile, the rosewood fingerboard’s 9.5-inch radius and 21 jumbo frets represent the epitome of modern playability. The Fender Custom Shop Limited-edition Roasted Pine Stratocaster DLX Closet Classic is powered by a trio of hand-wound Dual-Mag II single-coil pickups. As the name suggests, these pickups use two types of magnets. The bass side of the pickup utilizes Alnico V magnets for a clear, strong punch. The treble strings use Alnico II magnets to temper overly bright frequencies. The result is a refined tone with impeccable balance and consistent volume. When you plug the Limited-edition Roasted Pine Stratocaster DLX Closet Classic in, it will pump out a balanced tone with plenty of attitude.

Alder and ash: Just about every Strat that Fender makes is comprised of one of these two time-tested tonewoods. However, the Fender Limited-edition Roasted Pine Stratocaster DLX Closet Classic takes a more evergreen route! This Strat’s pine body reaches back to Fender’s very roots — the first Tele-style guitars that Leo Fender built were constructed from pine, as it’s an incredibly lightweight and even-sounding timber. What’s more, the pine that forms this guitar’s body has been roasted to remove all excess moisture content, which not only further boosts resonance, but also greatly reduces weight.
